The Business Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the capture and draft of use cases, functional/system specification, and test cases specific to our reporting and analytics tools. This position will work across functional groups (e.g. business development, finance, sales, and engineering).
This job requires someone who is highly detailed oriented, organized, analytical, and accountable with the ability to work in a very fast and unstructured environment wearing multiple hats.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform business & workflow analysis
- Research, gather, define, and document functional requirements and test cases specific to our reporting and analytics infrastructure
- Research, draft, and create operational procedures and best practices (e.g. process map, process documentation, etc.)
- Project manage and work with development on the implementation and deployment of our internal reporting and analytics infrastructure
- Research potential vendors and conduct fit/gap analysis
- BA/BS required
- Minimum 3+ years experience in management consulting (technology), Internet
- Experience performing functional interviews and business analysis
- Experience developing requirements (e.g. use cases, functional specification, test cases, etc.)
- Experience handling multiple cross-functional projects working through at least one technical implementation
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience using analytical tools for database querying, SQL a plus
- Knowledge of Internet software, XML, and JavaScript a plus
