Responsibilities
- Accountability for planning and managing test activities, creating detailed test plans, and performing tests
- Work with other QA Engineers and Developers to ensure overall system reliability, performance, and quality
- Work closely with business owners and CE to understand and test for business and CE requirements.
- Project management tracking; management level tracking of all quality analysis initiatives
- Work closely to understand and test for capacity planning and fault tolerance
- Test the application via Black Box, Regression, Release, Stress, and Negative testing methods
- Assist in writing detailed level technical requirements/specifications documentation
- Design, document and implement quality assurance procedures
- Create the testing processes and standards for the project
- Manage bug tracking database
- Interface with development team for the status of issue resolution
- Provide direction for all resources during the testing cycle
- Ensure that all aspects of the application have proper testing coverage
- Research industry best practices for software testing packages and processes
- Assist developers implement unit tests
- Assist in developing and obtaining user requirements
- Assist Customer Support with any issues that could not be resolved
- Develop Test Plan and Timeline; Work with Project Manager to Identify Project Risks
- Define Exit Criteria for each Testing Cycle
- Experience testing code to support QA efforts
- Expertise in testing eBusiness solutions throughout the entire life cycle.
- Strong expertise in scale and performance testing
- Expertise in functional testing
- Understanding with HTML/Java/Development
- Experience in facilitating usability testing sessions.
- Strong expertise with Automated Testing tools (SilkTest, etc)
- Strong expertise with performance testing software (SilkPeformer, etc)
- Understanding of different architecture platform constraints
- Ability to identify critical or complex areas in the system and test accordingly
- Ability to work flexible Hours during critical project delivery times
- Detail-Oriented
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to communicate with customers and help desk to define issues
- Desire to collaborate with others in a team environment
