imeem is seeking a full-time talented and enthusiastic Visual/Interaction Designer ready to take imeem to the next level. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to evolving the visual and interaction design for our website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with project teams to plan and execute a variety of web features
- Contribute to fleshing out creative concepts
- Translate feature specifications and rough mockups provided by product mangers into visual design UI
- Prepare and present comps to other team members; back up and defend design rationale
- Help maintain consistency and quality across applications and websites
- Participate in usability testing, reviews and evaluations to identify issues, and to provide an enhanced user experience
- Help to foster an open, fun and productive atmosphere within the design team
- Create a compelling, easy-to-use GUI for features and web pages
- 5+ years of experience with web interface design
- Broad esthetic range and visual sense
- Visually creative but has demonstrated experience in designing intuitive and compelling web interfaces
- Academic background in human-computer interaction or related field a big plus
- Ability to translate information architecture and interaction dependencies into into usable design elements
- Accustomed to prototyping quickly and working iteratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
