Job Description: Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input and/or output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.
Qualifications
You should possess a Master's degree and/or a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Additional qualifications include:
- Creative, and have strong passion on innovation
- Strong business acumen and the ability to foresee future technologies
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary research and/or development and collaborate with other team members in the design, development, and validation of the software solution
- Deep understanding on the whole software stack, from system level software to user level applications
- Strong analytical skills and have the ability to work independently and in teams, and have good perception and anticipation
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate at various levels of abstraction (concept to details)
- Good understanding about Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
