The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing the Capital Assets and Repair and Maintenance areas, as well as assisting the Director of Engineering and Business Manager in preparing and updating the monthly and annual capital budgets and estimates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining bids for major purchases and selecting vendors
- Preparing, following up and closing purchase orders
- Reviewing and processing invoices for payments
- Maintaining spending balances
- Preparing month end closing
- Reviewing timesheets and processing timesheet summary for payments, as well as compiling employee attendance calendars
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related accounting experience – A/P, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets applications
- Experience with Oracle is plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Bilingual (English-Spanish)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Able to communicate effectively both in verbally and in writing
