This coop position is in the design of a 45nm multicore Xeon? processor. In this position, you will be working with your supervisor in circuit design or microarchitecture validation.
Qualifications
You should be a student currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with familiarity with the basic computer architecture principals, logic and/or circuit design. January 2008 to August 2008 is preferred. Additional qualifications include:
- A strong background in processor architecture and should have good software development skills
- Knowledge of transistor circuits with relevant Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) design classes
- At least two years of experience of code development using C and/or C++ and reasonable experience with Perl would be an added advantage
- Experience with Verilog* and/or VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL) would be an added advantage
