Senior Software Engineer – Oracle Applications (Procure To Pay)
CNET Networks is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for Oracle Applications. This person will provide support of Oracle Applications Release 11i (Procure to Pay modules such as PO,AP, Assets). The candidate will be working in the Financials Group under Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) in Information Technology. Collaborating with Business Analysts, Business Users, DBA’s and other Developers is very important to success in this position. Candidate must be a motivated individual who will rise to challenges and can operate with minimal supervision. This is a middle level position which has potential to grow along with the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide in-depth systems expertise from a technical perspective.
• Ensure and track resolution of all technical issues pertaining to Payables, Purchasing, Assets, GL and related functions of Oracle 11i. (11.5.10.2)
• Develop and troubleshoot customizations, internal and external interfaces.
• Maintain existing and write new reports in Oracle Reports and Discoverer10g/9i. Create and maintain views for Discoverer reports.
• Supporting and enhancing workflow, particularly for Procurement/Payables
• Design, Develop and Maintain custom extensions to Oracle Applications.
• Design, Develop and Maintain the integration of other legacy systems to Oracle Applications.
• Track issues and enhancements and ensure implementation and release activities comply with audit requirements.
• Perform as technical team member on new projects.

Required Skills:

• 2-3 years overall experience in the implementation and maintenance of Oracle Applications (particularly PO, AP, Fixed Assets modules).
• 1-2 years proven working experience in workflow, particularly in Procurement/Payables
• 2-3 years experience in writing interfaces to Oracle applications using PL/SQL, Java following oracle coding standards
• 2-3 years experience in design and development of custom reports/forms.
• Experience in performance tuning of various custom programs/reports.
• Experience in version control systems and deployment to productions.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to interface and work with varying levels of the organization, from users to management, in a highly interactive culture.
• Self starter, shows initiative and the ability to manage workload prioritization.

Desired Skills:

• 1-2 years working technical experience with Oracle 11i in General Ledger, Order Management, AR
• Functional expertise in PO, AP and Fixed Asset modules
• Oracle Discoverer 10g/9i User and Administration Editions.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in integration of document management systems like Feith Systems is highly desirable

Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
