Data & Reporting Analyst at imeem

Location: San Francisco, CA
The Data & Reporting analyst will be responsible for the analysis of data to help drive business operations and generate partner reports. This position will work across functional groups (e.g. business development, finance, sales, and engineering). Ideal candidate is someone that is passionate for resolving data conflicts and errors.

This job requires someone who is highly detailed oriented, organized, analytical, and accountable with the ability to work in a very fast and unstructured environment wearing multiple hats.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests
  • Investigate data inconsistencies, content exceptions, and quality issues
  • Define business rules, process, and methodologies for analyzing and ensuring data quality as well as operational readiness
  • Develop insights from a variety of data sources providing accurate interpretation of data to various business units
  • Monitors and verify for correctness all aspects of data whether received from external sources or derived internally
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • BS/BA preferred. Undergraduate or graduate coursework in statistics, data analysis, research methods
  • 2+ years experience in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software (SAS, SPSS, Matlab, etc.)
  • Experience in analysis and presentation of data and must have a fundamental understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g table schemas, etc.)
  • Ability to create SQL queries as well as experience using advanced Excel features
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; exemplary problem-solving and logic skills
