Function
This position is ultimately responsible to write, create and produce morning show Image through jingles, parodies, drops, promos, voice overs and to develop and maintain strong relationships with Univision Radio (UR) clients, Operations, and Sales Department in Los Angeles as well as in all Piolin por la Mañana morning show markets and its affiliates.
This position reports to the Piolin por la Mañana morning show Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the Piolin por la Mañana morning show imaging/production, and includes –but is not limited, the following duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee On-Air day to day branding of Piolín por la Mañana morning show.
  • Interact on air with main talent at any given time and serve as side-kick as necessary.
  • Create, write and produce morning show new segments –Counseling, Sexology, etc.
  • Create, write and produce morning show new elements –Click it Piolin, Who wants to be a Citizen, etc., show liners, promos and drops, morning show jingles.
  • Create write and produce morning show artist/personality special presentation.
  • Create write and produce morning show anti-commercial, parodies, and others.
  • Do voice-overs.
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain professional demeanor with UR clients and staff.
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings to oversee execution of events related to morning show.
  • Develop strategies, tactics and action steps to work with main talent, morning show producers, sales department, programming, and manager to achieve common goals in the best interest of the morning show and Univision Radio.
  • Assist morning show manager with various projects and/or special events.
  • Coordinate morning show broadcast locally and from other markets.
  • Maintain products, group and consumer research data.
  • Must be able to work in high pressure past pace environment and maintain a professional attitude at all times, and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Maintain data bank of voice over.
  • Abides by organizational norms and supports organizational goals.
  • Maintains positive working relationship with co-workers.
  • Keeps daily communications with morning show producers, main talent, and morning show manager, as well as KSCA program director and OM.
  • Performs other tasks as directed, following well-defined procedures.
  • Provide daily work-log sheet to Morning Show Manager.
  • Must attend all scheduled meetings.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
  • Ability to Operate SAW, Pro Tools and/or Audio Vault, and other production equipment.
  • Two years production experience in radio industry.
  • Requires knowledge of the Hispanic community and its traditions.
  • Must be PC proficient.
  • Requires good interpersonal skills.
Experience and Education:
  • High School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Two years experience in a similar position preferred.
Necessary Language Skills:
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills are preferred.
