SNOCAP is looking for a Web Applications Engineer to join our world-class team of technology and engineering professionals. In this position, you will develop internal business applications as well as consumer-facing scalable database-driven web applications. This position reports directly to the Manager of Web Applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop significant new features for various web based applications and support maintenance releases
- Research, track, and understand new web technologies to provide technical input in developing service applications and analyzing requirements
- Produce written design documents
- Manage, develop, integrate and implement related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration
- Play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of the applications
- Establish and communicate standards to manage cost and ensure continuity of applications
Requirements:
- Preferably seven or more years of progressive experience in web applications development from requirements to deployment
- Experience designing and developing large, dynamic, Oracle-driven web applications
- Four or more years of experience with PHP, including two or more years experience with PHP 5.x
- Experience with PHP templating languages, including Smarty
- Expert in the use of standards-based HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Extensive experience with Apache on Linux
- Advanced knowledge of Zend Engine internals and PHP optimization techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
