Scionics is seeking a senior scientific software engineer to develop database and
image processing/analysis software for biological research as part of
a small and highly adaptable team.
Job Requirements
- Strong Java skills (J2EE helpful)
- Strong OO background (design patterns, MVC)
- Strong Eclipse skills (EMF & RCP helpful)
- Experience with AOP and IoC, ideally with Spring
- Experience with ORM framework, ideally Hibernate
- Strong background in relational database theory and practice
- UNIX/Linux scripting skills in /bin/sh and/or perl
- Fluent English required
- Strong work and team ethic
- Ability to clearly communicate solutions to co-workers
- Ability to speak German a plus but not required
- Scientific background helpful but not required
- Background in digital image processing helpful but not required
