Creative Specialist at YouTube

The Creative Specialist is responsible for developing compelling concept designs and mock-ups for large scale online sponsorship programs. This role will work closely with the Media Program and Strategy team to develop innovative media programs that engage consumers and drive large scale commitments from brand advertisers.

Responsibilities:

  • Create concept designs and mock-ups for online sponsorship and media programs.
  • Assist in the creation of compelling media sponsorships that will engage consumers and excite brand marketers.
  • Work closely with YouTube and Google product and sales teams to develop innovative new ideas based on existing platforms.
  • Deliver visually compelling and executable concepts to help Google sales force develop and sell large scale media campaigns.
  • Work closely with marketing managers, copywriters, and a production team to ensure that campaigns deliver on objectives.

Requirements:

  • BA/BFA/BS degree in Design or related discipline; advanced degrees appreciated.
  • Strong interest in online advertising and the creation of large scale advertising sponsorship programs.
  • Intuitive understanding of the needs of brand advertisers and how to translate these needs into compelling concepts.
  • Advanced skill and experience designing web pages and other online collateral, both from a visual standpoint, as well as up to date back-end development skills.
  • Strong skills in typography as well as headline driven creativity a definite plus.
  • Advanced, up to date skills in Flash design a must. Experience with other multimedia design, including video, a plus.
  • Knowledge of the creative requirements of various marketing communications media including advertising, design, direct marketing, interactive, collateral, etc., both in print and online.
