Group Quantitative Marketing Manager, Research, You Tube - San Bruno

YouTube is looking for creative, experienced, and hardworking people to understand the marketing needs of major brands and interactive advertising agencies. This role will be responsible for research initiatives in support of YouTube's North American sales. The role will include working with global research firms and other suppliers, managing quantitative and qualitative studies, responding to requests for research, and collecting and presenting data and analysis to address key business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Source and create research and analysis to support sales efforts, working closely with the sales organization and Industry Marketing group.
  • Package research and value-added services to provide brand marketers and agencies with valuable insights for their marketing plans.
  • Compile and interpret competitive and industry data.
  • Work with 3rd party research vendors.
  • Develop in-depth case studies which showcase YouTube's advertising solutions.
  • Draft questionnaires and surveys and utilize online survey tools.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree. PhD or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of entertainment media research experience related to online and/or offline advertising media.
  • Expertise in research related to industry verticals such as automotive, CPG,entertainment, video games and wireless carriers.
  • Track record of supporting sales initiatives through analysis and presentation of marketing data.
  • Experience planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting data from both qualitative and quantitative primary research studies. Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, using research to address business needs and making actionable recommendations based on research findings.
  • Ability to analyze research data and translate raw information into actionable insights so that it can be easily utilized by the entire organization. This includes competitive/industry analyst reports as well as third-party audience research such as Nielsen/NetRatings and comScore Media Metrix.
  • Strong passion and understanding of User Generated Content, online advertising, youth marketing trends and branding measurement.
  • Advertising effectiveness research and traditional marketing mix research experience extremely helpful.
  • Proven history of self-direction, creativity, extremely well organized and capable of handling multiple mission critical projects simultaneously and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
