Responsibilities:
- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments as well as interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
- Develop and maintain project plans outlining steps and time tables for database development initiatives
- Perform data modeling and database design
- Perform hands-on coding in PL/SQL and other programming languages, and direct others in the same
- Perform XML data integration, mapping, and transformation
- Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs
- Twelve or more years proven and recent experience in creating well documented high performance Oracle PL/SQL code
- Experience developing high volume and heavy transaction databases where extensive knowledge of SQL performance tuning is required
- Experience working in an agile test-driven development environment with a cross functional team where project coordination, code re-use, and excellent communication skills are critical
- Strong data modeling experience with in-depth knowledge of at least one of the popular CASE tools (e.g. QDesigner, Erwin)
- Experience developing with database-driven Web applications is required
- Experience developing Java applications communicating with an RDBMS
- Experience developing database interfaces with OCI and C++ is a plus
- Experience with XML and Oracle XML extensions required. Experience using one or more XML transformation tools is a big plus - Allora, Stylus, Mapforce or other.
- Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses
- Experience with tools such as SQL Navigator and TOAD is a plus
