Do you want to drive product development in the pay-for-performance marketing space, one of the industry's hottest and fastest growing areas? The Advertiser Systems team is responsible for designing the products that advertisers and internal teams use to power Yahoo!'s pay-for-performance marketing business. We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial Product Manager to take ownership of new and existing products, identify requirements, define the product vision, create design specifications and lead the implementation of the product roadmap.

The Product Manager position requires an energetic, experienced self-starter with a track record of quick learning and increasing levels of responsibility. The candidate should be passionate about creating high-quality, usable products that drive the growth of the Yahoo! advertiser network.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the full product lifecycle of advertiser acquisition and management products for the small and medium size marketers. This includes concept, specification, design, launch and maintenance phases.
  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams to elicit, understand, rationalize and prioritize requests for new functionality.
  • Work closely with technology leadership to manage all stages of the product development process.
  • Identify and analyze new opportunities to improve and enhance the Yahoo! advertiser network worldwide.
  • Design functional specifications and make tradeoff decisions between functionality and resources/timeframes.
  • Act as key product evangelist and advocate for Yahoo! advertiser network users and internal Yahoo! Search Marketing teams.
  • Work with other functional areas to gather intelligence on competitive offerings and new industry trends and synthesize competitive findings.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years as a product manager in the software industry or in an internet-based software company.
  • Experience building products and services for the small and medium size businesses, preferably in local advertising, web search, online advertising, or performance marketing
  • Passion for creating world-class business solutions that impact each phase of the advertisers' lifecycle, from prospect to launch to ongoing management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to motivate and influence executives, business leaders, and technology leaders within a matrixed organization.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Analytic mind & strong problem-solving capabilities evidenced by a proven ability to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze product concepts, strategic opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Strong product/project management skills. Proven experience managing complex projects to successful completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA preferred
