Position: Field Marketing Manager, Advertiser Analytics
Location: New York City or Chicago
Yahoo!’s Advertiser Analytics team is responsible for strategic planning, market requirements collection, go-to-market execution, and ongoing support of the company’s cross-property advertiser-facing analytic products across both search and display. The goal of the team is to enable superior visibility and actionable insights into advertisers’ campaigns, making Yahoo! indispensable to any advertiser marketing plan.
The Field Marketing Manager is critical to ensuring that the Yahoo! Sales team is knowledgeable and up-to-date regarding Advertiser Analytic products. These products are fundamental for understanding advertisers’ campaign performance, which is a primary driver of Yahoo!’s revenue growth. You will be the domain expert for Advertiser Analytics in the field, providing strong support and training to our Sales team, and playing a vital role in helping us collect market requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive analytic product adoption and usage across Yahoo! Sales and advertisers
- Execute go-to-market strategies for new products
- Drive recommendations on process and marcom improvements
- Serve as subject matter expert for analytic products
- Advertiser analytics training for all Sales team members across the US, as well as for select clients
- Capture advertiser needs in the field and champion them internally
- Identify analytics best practices and cross-pollinate ideas among sales offices and teams
Qualifications:
- Five years experience in Advertising and/or Marketing, including hands-on experience driving go-to-market execution and delivering successful internet products/services to market
- Exceptional market intuition, with the business discipline and analytical skills to drive recommendations and prioritization
- Demonstrated familiarity with digital marketing tools and technology, both on and off the PC, and with Yahoo! and competitors’ analytic product-set and capabilities
- Experience in Sales support and/or client-facing roles with track record of understanding Sales and clients’ business objectives
- Solid communication and presentations skills, including the ability to read an audience and adjust delivery accordingly
- High sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic required to make Yahoo! both the thought leader and execution leader in advertiser analytics
- Motivated, self-starter with a track-record of prioritizing, driving action, accountability and results – and the desire to challenge the status quo in the process
- Positive, can-do attitude with passion and desire to learn
- Ability to work (and laugh) in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed organization
- Knowledge of digital space and/or advertising industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
