Responsibilities:
Technical Architects at Optaros are critical resources in helping us expand and grow our business. Partnering with the sales team, you will have the opportunity to influence the way that projects are sold and delivered to our clients. You will work closely with our Sales Managers throughout North America to close new business, advising clients throughout the sales cycle on technology trends and key architectural decisions. Depending on the size of the project, you may also run the project or play a technical advisory role to the team throughout the engagement.
Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have had experience selling, designing, developing, and deploying large scale custom enterprise applications.
Skills:
1) Sales and Client Management
- Effectively manage the technology track throughout the sales cycle
- Write clear and concise proposals and Statements of Work (SOW)
- Meet established revenue goals (business development and/or utilization)
2) Technology and Thought Leadership
- Design architectural solutions for various problem types
- Extensive knowledge in the areas of custom software development (Web development experience is required)
- OOAD Methodologies
- OO Design Patterns
- Open Source J2EE Tools and Frameworks (Hibernate, Struts, Spring, PHP, AJAX)
- Web Services, middleware and messaging technologies (MQ Series, JMS, TUXEDO)
- Web Application Servers and associated products (Portal, Commerce, Workflow, content server)
- Well thought out view regarding software trends and the role of Open Source within those trends
- Regularly speaks and/or publishes thought leadership at relevant industry forums
- Extensive understanding of Fixed Price Fixed Fee project planning and delivery
3) Consulting Craft
- Drive excellence in service delivery, methodology, and operations (Track record of managing successful projects
- Interact with and gain the trust of the highest level of technical and business unit level resources at client sites (Wins clients confidence)
- Excellent communicator (facilitation, presentation, verbal and written)
