The role: Media Planner, Google Brand Accelerator - San Bruno, Chicago, and New York

Google is looking for a Media Planner to develop Media Plans, Programs and Packages.

The Media Planner is responsible for proactively developing advertising sales programs against key audience segments, educating the sales team on programs and opportunities, packaging premium content and sponsorship programs, proactively marketing programs to the sales to assist in sell-through and working with salesto assemble engaging programs in response to RFP requests.

Media Planners will demonstrate an understanding of advertiser and agency mindset and needs in the development of compelling media plans, advertising programs and sales materials and identify new sales program and ad product opportunities to drive revenue and provide the Google sales force with a robust set of offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Help the Google sales force act proactively by planning and managing sales program roll-out schedules; develop supporting media plans and sales presentations and act as an expert educating and supporting sales efforts.
  • Develop compelling programs in response to RFPs delivered by agency and advertiser clients.
  • Liaise with the YouTube product team in the development of new products, verticals and sponsor-able opportunities; deliver marketer/sales point-of-view to help shape these new offerings and maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate with Ad Operations team in the development of refined targeting products and associated sales support materials.
  • Manage implementation of sponsorships and programs in coordination with Account Management team.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree, preferably from a leading institution.
  • 5-7 years of experience in media and marketing at an ad agency or media company.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work well with metrics, numbers, and trends.
  • Strong oral, writing and editing skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills. Exceptional budget management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
