Manager, Corporate Communications at Facebook

Facebook is seeking an experienced Manager, Corporate Communications. This is a full-time position based in our main office in downtown Palo Alto and will report to the Director, Corporate Communications.

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Responsibilities:

• Own Strategic and day-to-day management for various internal and external communications
• Protect and enhance the reputation of Facebook’s technologies and platform
• Create awareness for current and new applications on the site
• Educate users, analysts, journalists and bloggers about Facebook products and platform
• Drive positive coverage in the business and technology press
• Support and interface with engineering team

Requirements:

• 6-8 years PR experience
• BA/BSA degree in journalism, communications or equivalent preferred
• Strong project management and decision-making skills
• Previous experience working on Internet-related subject matter
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Must know AP style guidelines and be a master of grammar
• Experience working with media to achieve communications goals
• Ability to think and communicate strategically with a variety of people
• Experience in both technology and Internet PR required
• Deep understanding of Facebook preferred
• Knowledge of PHP, AJAX and open source preferred
