Location: Palo Alto, CA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage complex project plans and ensure on-time delivery
- Provide hands on analysis, design, development testing, implementation and post implementation support
- Act as primary interface with mail providers and ISP’s to prevent spam and blocking of Facebook messages
- Work with engineers to improve overall performance of messaging infrastructure
- Build or configure technologies based on requirements submitted by business partners and best practices
- Promote user adoption by preparing training documentation and conduct training sessions for business users
- Build test cases & manage internal and beta testing cycles
- Assist with risk management and change management on projects
- Create ad-hoc reports, queries and data extracts as requested
- Provide day-to-day support and quality assurance for projects and tasks
- Assist with internal process improvements
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of Operations experience and 2+ as a Technical project manager
- Prior experience working with ISP’s and managing email/messaging infrastructures
- Experience working in a web or internet start-up environment a plus
- Very familiar with UNIX/Linux OS (scripting experience a plus)
- Perl, PHP experience a big plus
