Join the country's leading and fastest growing advertising sales organization. YouTube, a Google company, is looking for a Public Relations Manager to work in our San Bruno office.
Founded in February 2005, YouTube is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and share video clips on www.youtube.com and across the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs and email. YouTube has quickly become the leading destination on the Internet for video entertainment.
People in search of predictability and hierarchy should stop reading right now. We want candidates who are unafraid to voice their opinions, willing to challenge the conventional wisdom (with better ideas), and able to inspire the YouTube community. We're looking for individuals who prefer to think of themselves as strategists, but who are equally capable as tacticians - people who not only think big but get the job done every day.
Successful candidates will have at least 5-10 years professional experience and a record of taking initiative and managing small teams. The ideal candidate will have deep media relations and issues management experience, as well a solid understanding of the intersection between communications and policy as it relates to corporate image. Prior experience handling crisis communications, issues management communications, and speechwriting is a must. Strong critical-thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and superior writing ability are also a must. We need people who can design and implement a product launch, develop a creative consumer campaign, and create an innovative program to educate the public on a complex issue.
YouTube's Public Relations organization is a fast-paced team with audiences including users, partners, shareholders, employees, critics and friends from around the world. The team helps communicate and promotes the diverse, creative uses of YouTube, launches of new YouTube features, manages communications and strategy for critical public issues, supports acquisition of professional content partners as well as advertisers operations. We promise, you'll never be bored.
