Data Center Technician at Facebook

Facebook is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the Operations team. This is a full-time position based in our facility in northern Virginia and will report to the Director of Operations.

Location: Northern Virginia, VA

Responsibilities:

• Install new servers, switches, routers, and storage hardware
• Fix and upgrade servers
• Troubleshoot issues with hardware and Linux OS
• Track issues and run reports
• Entry level opportunity for NOC engineers, system administrators or network engineers

Requirements:

• Certification such as CCNA, RHCT or equivalent experience with Cisco or Juniper switches/routers, Red Hat, MySQL or Apache servers
• Experience working with server/network hardware and Linux OS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift/move 20-30 lbs on a daily basis
• Off-hours coverage
