The Product Manager of Core Products will work as part of team focused broadly on building the YouTube experience for users worldwide. You will be responsible for the product throughout the execution cycle, including: gathering product requirements, defining product vision, creating preliminary design concepts, and working closely with engineering to implement and iterate. Particular focus of role to start will be on user profiles/channels, sharing and groups features within YouTube.
This role will be based out of YouTube's HQ in San Bruno, CA (Bay Area).
Requirements:
- Degree in a technology-related or business-related field.
- 2+ years of consumer product experience as a product manager or engineer.
- Proven track record for product delivery. Able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on product management.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and coalescing design requirements into a product vision.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations.
- Knowledgeable across many functional areas product management, eng, UI, sales, customer support, marketing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of video space.
