Account Manager at CNET

Summary
In partnership with the RSM meet the territory sales goals. To achieve this you will be, expanding sales with existing customers, managing accounts to guarantee customer satisfaction, consulting with clients and advising them on campaign development and placement and working across departmental lines to manage campaign implementation.

Duties:
  • Responsible for day to day management of all advertising sales within a territory including forecast management, CRM and campaign management and sales analysis 20%
  • Expand sales to existing clients, Identify prospects, qualify opportunities and follow up on leads– 10%
  • Working directly with clients, G&E product teams, and the Regional Sales Manager, the AM will provide detailed client service and execute integrated marketing plans – 20%
  • Work in partnership with the RSM in prospecting and closing new business in assigned territory, and will attend client meetings as needed – 10%
  • Develop and maintain strong industry knowledge about the games, digital music & TV businesses, including information on the key players and dynamics – 5%
  • preparing proposals based on customer requests and negotiating sales terms -20%
  • Provide direction guidance for the territory Account Coordinator (dotted line reporting relationship) – 10%
  • Some travel & client entertainment – 5%

Qualifications (required skill & experience):
  • 3 years experience in sales, preferably for an online media company.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Communicates effectively, understanding the nuances of his/her audience.
  • Client-service focused, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, internet-savvy
  • Strong sales opportunity analysis
  • Strong proposal development
  • Strong Closing skills
  • In depth understanding of client business drivers, strategy and buying cycles
Educational Requirements (Level & Focus of Study):

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent training preferred.
