Content Quality Assurance at ARCHIVE

The Collections Team at the Internet Archive is currently seeking an unflappable entry-level curator to screen content uploaded to the Archive and respond to error reports and user emails.

Tasks:
  • Screen incoming movies, videos, and texts
  • Respond to error reports and incoming emails from Archive users
  • Moderate Archive forums
  • Support Collections team with various projects
Required Skills:
  • Ease working with Web tools and interfaces
  • Comfort in geeky online and offline environments
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Tolerance for viewing potentially disturbing materials
  • Patience and a good sense of humor
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player
Preferred Skills:
  • HTML or XML
  • Knowledge of Arabic helpful but not required
