Role:IQ Foundry is looking for a strong Interactive Developer to join our web application development team. It's a fun and exciting opportunity where you will be constantly challenged to push the limits of web technology.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of development experience, preferably with a focus in web technologies. Our primary development platform is PHP/MySQL but we also work with ASP .NET with many of our enterprise clients. We don't expect you to be an expert of any one language. We do expect you to have a core development background that allows you to navigate any challenge regardless of the syntax.
You'll need to be a creative thinker, detail-oriented, confident, and able to express ideas and concepts to other team members in an articulate, well thought-out manner.
Most importantly we want you to be passionate about what you do, and have fun while doing it.
Essential Functions:Designing, creating, and maintaining the back end of our web applications and interactive solutions.
Specifically developing database schema, designing and developing web applications, developing complementary front end interfaces (Javascript, Ajax, Flash), and supporting the rest of the team with development related needs.
Qualifications:- Passion for web development.
- Bright, enthusiastic, and hard working.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts to technical and non-technical coworkers/clients.
- Development background in object oriented programming, PHP Preferred. ASP C# .NET will be handy.
- Experience with and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM, Javascript and Ajax.
- Experience designing and implementing complex web applications.
- Experience designing complex database schema.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
- Basic proficiency with Unix/Linux.
Preferred Skills:- Computer science background/degree.
- Experience with version control, ideally Subversion.
- Server management skills - Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
- Knowledge of Mod Rewrite.
- Familiarity with development best practices.
- Flash and Actionscript knowledge is highly desirable.
