Marketing Producer at MLB

As a Marketing Prducer, yu will wrk with assigned Majr League Baseball Club persnnel and internal Marketing and Technical departments t ptimize the verall perfrmance f the Club fficial websites. Minimum Requirements Bachelrs Degree
  • At least 3 years wrking experience in Web Prductin that includes:
  • Expert HTML and CSS skills (MUST be cmfrtable hand-cding)
  • Gd image prductin skills with Phtshp and Illustratr
  • Wrking knwledge f Micrsft ffice applicatins
  • Experience with JavaScript a plus

  • Understanding f the Internet business - e-cmmerce, marketing, spnsrship, subscriptin prducts
  • Prject management experience, specifically the ability t manage technical prjects frm cnceptin t implementatin
  • Ability t develp crdial, prfessinal relatinships with all level f Club persnnel and MLB staff
  • Detail-riented, rganized and excellent verbal and written cmmunicatin skills

Use f Time

  • Interface with Club persnnel, and MLBAM design and tech engineers as necessary, n page updates and develpment f new functinality (30%)
  • Administrative duties such as tracking cmpleted prjects, cllecting and presenting site data (10%)

Content Management System Developer at MLB

Content Management System (CMS) Developers are responsible for the design and implementation of applications and tools, which manage our web properties. The candidate will be responsible for devising strategies for bringing new and existing web properties into our content management systems. He or she will work closely with technical and production teams to gather functionality requirements, create supporting data models and develop efficient content generation templates.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain highly efficient and reusable generation templates for multiple delivery targets, such as HTML, RSS and Wap.
  • Collect and assess CMS requirements for new and ongoing projects. Devise strategies for bringing properties under content management.
  • Model site data based on wireframes, comps and HTML build-outs.
  • Determine content organization and keyword identification.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with content management systems.
  • 3-4 years experience with middleware templating languages; Mason, XSL and JSP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in Java and / or Perl a plus.
  • Experience with web 2.0 data delivery schemes using XML, JSON.
  • Familiarity with relational databases; proficiency in SQL a plus.
  • Experience working in a UNIX environment.
  • Ability to easily grasp business concepts.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

CSS/PHP Web Developer (Telecommute) at Image X Media

Compensation:

Rates will range from $20-30/hr depending on education, experience and abilities. Home
based/telecommuting contract work is most desired, but onsite opportunities are possible should we find the right candidate.

Web Applications / Database Specialist at mediageneral.com

The Web Development team performs the following tasks:
  • Design / Planning – Responsible for careful consideration of new functionality, its strengths and weaknesses, and its impacts on the application as a whole; careful design of the database infrastructure and how it should be organized to handle this, and how the core framework for the application will need to be modified to allow for this functionality; providing as much reusability in the code as possible.
