The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) group will be responsible for segmenting the business needs of our partners into actionable groups, understanding the needs of these segments and our ability to meet these needs, developing holistic business strategies to delight and surprise these segments, and executing on these strategies.

This approach will help us achieve faster, smarter decision-making and improved execution in support of better serving our customers. For example, we will be able to much more quickly identify and secure the ad inventory that best meets our advertisers’ objectives and partner with advertisers that best meet our publishing partners’ objectives as well as provide the most compelling experience to the vast audiences we reach.


Responsibilities

As the Vice President of Business Development within the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) group, you will focus on the overall goal of establishing new strategic partners, including evaluation, strategy development and execution planning. In addition, expanding the depth and value of existing partnerships. To deliver these services, you will interact externally with executive level management to initiate, structure, negotiate, and manage long term partnerships deemed to be strategically important to Yahoo!. You will negotiate terms to govern and you must possess a high degree of comfort interfacing with all levels within a company, and do so with a proven track record.

You will be responsible for closing significant relationships, forging the partnerships network growth, creating new partnerships, all focused on creating future strategic value. Ultimately, driving revenue to Yahoo. Our ideal candidate will have extensive business development and sales experience, as well as operational experience. Strong management background with a proven track record at hiring, motivating and leading senior level employees, is required.

A background in the internet and media space is required, along with a solid understanding of selling next generation solutions and bundled services and products. A deep understanding of Yahoo's Services needs and demands, and the ability to function at rapid pace are required.

Requirements

•A BS/BA is required, MBA or equivalent degree preferred
•Minimum of 8 years of business development, sales or equivalent experience is required
•Excellent leadership, prioritization, communication, analytic and quantitive skills
•High degree of comfort overseeing major projects, leading teams, and working with senior executives are also necessary.
