MySQL Database Architect at Slide.com

The IT department at Slide is looking for an experienced database architect and administrator with a focus on MySQL performance, query review, redundancy, and backup. If you want a hand in scaling out infrastructure the right way, contact us!

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the smooth operation of Slide's database infrastructure, including: coordination and collaboration with developers on queries and feature implementation; management of database instance configuration, replication, failover, and migration; designing and implementing a high-performance, redundant, and highly scalable database infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 4 years or more of production MySQL architecture experience on Linux.
  • Solid tuning experience with MySQL, MyISAM, InnoDB, and SQL.
  • Prefer OLTP experience.
  • Strong foundation of IT knowledge desired.
  • 5 years or more of general production database administration on various platforms a plus (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Solaris, etc).
  • Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced web environment.
