MySQL Database Administrator at YouTube.com

YouTube is looking for an outstanding database administrator to play a major role in our cross functional support team.

Responsibilities:
  • Tuning and debugging high performance, high availability databases.
  • Reviewing and applying database schema changes.
  • Creating a large number of replicas.
  • On-call/work outside of business hours.
  • Creating automation in a distributed database environment.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a MySQL DBA in a high traffic online/web environment; 5 years of total experience.
  • Solid systems administration skills.
  • Hands-on experience with replication.
  • High availability experience.
Preferred:
  • Python proficiency.
  • Oracle DBA skills.
