Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with DBA to implement web based reporting front-end.
• Drive implementation of infrastructure services to support logging, ETL and reporting.
• Work with business analysts to devise reports which will drive a variety of business decisions.
• Work with engineering team on event logging functionality and infrastructure to support reporting needs.
• Work with product development team on data driven features.
• Lead and drive improvements to our data systems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience developing code to interface with high volume MySQL or Oracle databases
• Professional experience developing web applications with ASP.NET, JSP/Java, Python or Perl.
• Creative problem solver with excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write clear, concise, robust, maintainable code on a tight schedule
• SQL language proficiency
• Understanding of SQL query plans and ability to optimize SQL queries
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent documentation skills
• Familiarity with open source or commercial database reporting software a plus

• Develop and maintain the VeohTV Windows application
• Work with engineering leadership to implement new features
• Work with product management to add new user features
• Improve video playback experience through the client
• Lower application crash rate through crash report analysis and subsequent resolutions and unit testing

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience building GUI applications for XP and Vista
• Deep knowledge and proficiency in Win32 internals
• Advanced C++ skills with strong OO analysis and design
• Extensive experience with Win32 user interface API (GDI / GDI+ / Windows Media Format SDK)
• Detailed knowledge of COM, ATL, WTL preferred
• Experience developing and shipping multimedia windows client applications preferred.
• Knowledge of media codecs, DRM, media players, and streaming video strongly desired.
• Excellent communication skills, works well with teams, and enjoys a collaborative development process.

Senior Flash Developer

San Diego-based Veoh Networks is the first Internet Television Peercasting Network, reaching hundreds of millions of viewers with broadband connections throughout the world. Veoh allows content producers, from video bloggers (vloggers) to motion picture studios, to deliver TV-grade, full-screen video directly to consumers, without the financial, geographical or regulatory restrictions found in traditional broadcasting systems. Veoh is privately held and venture capital funded.

We are looking for a developer to join our growing team building the Veoh network, a web-based application for finding, sharing and distributing full-screen, TV-quality video over peer-to-peer networking. This person will have experience building large scale web applications, the ability to work independently and the desire to be part a team building the technology behind really, really, big ideas.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with product management, UI designers , visual designers and engineering the Senior Flash Developer will be responsible for the architecture and development of all of Veoh's Flash based features.
• Although interactive and visual design experience is preferred, the primary responsibility of this role is Flash development.

Required skills and Experience:

• Flash/ActionScript/JavaScript/XHTML/CSS experience.
• Experience with Flash Media Server preferred
• Experience with server-side web frameworks
• Deep experience designing modular, object-oriented ActionScript
