Account Executive, Detroit back to topback to top at BREAK

Break.com is expanding their advertising sales coverage with the hiring of an Account Executive in Detroit who will report into the Director of East Coast Sales, located in New York City. The ideal candidate for this position is an independent, self-motivated sales professional who can confidently represent the brand in Detroit and the Midwest.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Meeting with high level decision makers
  • Focusing on building an advertising base of clients and agencies
  • Engaging in a consultative selling to understand and capitalize on client needs
  • Building creative and unique solutions for clients
  • Generating sales revenues from candidate's own list of leads/prior accounts
  • Prospecting, lead-generation and development of new accounts
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of media sales experience
  • 3+ years of dot.com sales experience (consumer branded websites)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding aggressive revenue targets
  • Experience with both agency and client-direct sales
  • Results-driven orientation
  • Ability to structure and close a sale and sell on the value of a brand
  • Strong presentation, networking, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop creative advertising programs
  • Independent self-starter who comes equipped with target contacts and can get up and running with minimal top-down guidance
  • High degree of integrity and business ethics
  • Good working relationships and contacts at top accounts/agencies, especially those targeted for key verticals; including brands targeted for men 18-34.
  • BA or BS required

Responsibilities
  • Support ad sales management in the development of strategy, operations and long-range plans
  • Help identify, analyze and recommend new ad sales products
  • Provide financial and strategic analysis to support existing ad sales businesses

Job Summary:
We are currently looking to hire a motion graphics genus to be responsible for all motion graphics and animation elements for the company, including general on-site branding (bumpers, promos), original series branding (intros/outros), general advertising and marketing needs (reels, motion ads). Candidates should have at least 2 years experience and a demo reel to prove it. You are a team player that takes direction well, and can take a project from inception to completion in a fast paced deadline oriented environment. You have a proven ability to create and integrate 2D and 3D elements into motion graphics sequences using a broad range of 2D/3D applications. You are highly organized, detail oriented and have experience working with video in programs such as Final Cut Pro, Compressor, and QuickTime pro.

Essential Responsibilities/Qualifications:
  • The candidate should also have basic video editing skills, and will occasionally assist in general content housekeeping, with tasks like capturing and editing video, trans-coding video content, ftp-ing files, etc.
  • All Candidates must have:
  • 2 years of After Effects experience
  • An intermediate level of 3D experience (Modeling / Lighting / rendering elements for graphics use)
