Job Description
The role requires a minimum of 4 years in a software development role. Supporting existing and new applications relating to B2C and B2B business units, with a development slant towards Java Infrastructure (or Perl).
Responsibilities

Areas of key responsibility are:

• Dealing with problems, queries and requests for change relating to Tiscali's inhouse BSS / OSS
• Provide development / tools to interface into Tiscali's Billing and Provisioning systems, with strong skillls in Perl, PhP or Java and DB experience in either PLSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Informix.
• Development of applications in a multitude of languages and platforms in line with the requirements of the business

Job Description

• To create designs that extend requirements and adhere to guidance on architectural best pratices defined at application or enterprise level.
• To create functional test cases against system requirements and non functional test cases against the design.
• To craft code refencing approporiate designs and against standards, either de facto or published.
• To execute tests to validate and verfiy the delivery of each development.
• To undertake all work in accordance with technical and quality standards to achieve well-engineered products. Documents all work in accordance with required standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming experience in Java.
• 3+ years of relational database experience in Informix or Oracle.
• 3+ years of developing client server applications.
• 1+ years of working with UML.
