Design Engineer at intel

Description
In this position, you will be part of Enterprise Microprocessor Group's (EMG) processor development team. You will be responsible for investigation, evaluation and recommendation, design and development, test and verification and documentation of processors and enabling technologies including design and maintenance of associated design tools as well as involved in simulation with Spice*. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Developing physical block designs through the use of custom circuits, physical synthesis, automated placenroute and various other physical design techniques
  • Responsible for the FET level circuit design including design and development of circuits to implement microarchitecture specifications and the development of Register Transfer Level (RTL)
  • Performing timing and electrical analysis and refinement of your designs

Qualifications
You should possess at least a Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with strong understanding of Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), Digital Logic design and Electrical Engineering fundamentals. Additional qualifications include:
  • Prior knowledge of HTML, TCL, Perl, UNIX* and C++
  • Understanding of design environment, tools, capabilities and scripts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Background that includes courses in computer architecture would be an added advantage

Summary of Position:
The RenderMan Products Group is responsible for the development and support of Pixar¿s world-renowned rendering software. A RenderMan Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of software associated with the integration of our core RenderMan software into the production pipelines of film and video production facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain existing RenderMan pipeline tools: Slim, RenderMan Studio
  • Develop new tools to facilitate use of RenderMan and ancillary tools in production pipelines
  • Document RenderMan pipelining philosophies, strategies and techniques
  • Perform Standard Product Development & Maintenance Chores
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of RenderMan, Shading Language and its use in film production pipelines
  • 3 years experience working in film production pipeline
  • Deep understanding of C++, TCL, Python, Perl, Applications and GUI Frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Unix & Windows Process Management, Interprocess Communication
  • Systems Programming Experience with Windows, Macintosh and Linux
  • Knowledge of 3-D computer graphics: RenderMan, OpenGL
  • Experience with popular modeling and animation packages: Maya, XSI, 3dMax
  • Experience with website management tools: HTML, php, SQL
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

Design Automation and Cad Engineering at Intel

Design automation engineers develop new design techniques and improve the performance of Intel's next-generation platforms. They accomplish this by assessing new architecture and approaches in CAD software engineering, and by specifying new materials, equipment, and supplies. CAD engineers perform circuit simulation, performance verification, resistance-capacitance (RC) extraction, design database management, design rule checking (DRC), LVS using a variety of tools.
